Worn by everyone from Schrödinger to Le Corbusier to Andre 3000, a bow tie is one of those “classic menswear” pieces that appeals to the guy who does his own thing. It’s equal parts preppy and practical — compared to a necktie, it really does stay out of the way — and while it’s not for everybody, it does make a statement.
